Do Confident Job Seekers Really Exist?
Hi {{ first_name }},
Every job seeker I meet has some version of the same thought:
“I’m not ready yet.”
“Someone else is probably more qualified.”
“Maybe I should wait until I’m 100% confident.”
Here’s the truth.
In all my years working with professionals navigating their careers, I’ve yet to meet someone who felt 100% confident about every application they sent.
And that’s completely normal.
Because confidence in your career doesn’t come before you take action.
It comes after you start showing up anyway.
Today’s job search can already feel discouraging. Many professionals send dozens of applications and hear nothing back. It often feels like your resume disappears into a “black box,” leaving you questioning whether you’re good enough.
But waiting until you feel completely ready won’t change that.
If you wait until you feel 100% confident, you may end up waiting forever.
Instead, try shifting your approach:
- Apply even if you meet 70–80% of the requirements
- Start conversations even if you feel a little nervous
- Share your work and ideas before they feel perfect
Because careers aren’t built by perfect candidates.
They’re built by people who keep showing up despite the doubt.
The goal isn’t to eliminate uncertainty.
The goal is to build the mindset that allows you to move forward anyway.
And that’s often the difference between job seekers who remain stuck and those who begin to see new opportunities open up.
