Microsoft Recruiter Scam Alert

Hi Super Professional,

Imagine this.

You’re in the middle of your job search and suddenly receive an email from a recruiter at Microsoft saying they found your profile and want to discuss a role.

The email looks legitimate. The logo is there. The language sounds professional. The opportunity sounds exciting.

For a moment, it feels like the breakthrough you’ve been waiting for.

But then the email asks for personal documents to “verify your profile.”

And that’s when something doesn’t feel right.

Unfortunately, we’re seeing more of these recruitment scams, where people impersonate recruiters from well-known companies using official logos, polished language, and email addresses that look almost identical to real ones.

Their goal is simple: gain your trust and collect your personal information.

Here’s what to keep in mind during your job search:

• Check the email domain carefully
Real Microsoft recruiters will email from @microsoft.com, not slight variations.

• Look up the recruiter on LinkedIn
Review their profile, connections, and activity before engaging.

• Never share sensitive personal information early
This includes SSN, passport scans, bank details, or passwords.

• Be cautious of urgency or pressure
Scammers often push you to act quickly without giving you time to verify.

Real recruiters follow structured hiring processes and will never ask for sensitive documents upfront.

Job searching already requires time, effort, and emotional energy. The last thing anyone needs is dealing with scams along the way. Taking a moment to verify can go a long way in protecting yourself.

This is where you should be applying
Hi {{ first_name }}, Most people looking for remote jobs only check LinkedIn and Indeed and then wonder why they’re competing with 500 other applicants for every role. The truth is, the best opportunities aren’t always on the biggest platforms. There are job boards specifically built for remote work, places where companies that are genuinely committed to remote hiring post their roles. N...
If your resume doesn’t show this, you’re losing opportunities
Hi {{ first_name }}, I came across a resume recently that helped this candidate land a $300,000 role at Google. And before you think it was just because of big names like Microsoft or Amazon on it, yes, that helped. But that’s not the full story. Because I’ve seen plenty of candidates from top companies still get rejected. What made this resume stand out was simple: it communicated impact, c...
