Don’t blow your chance: What to say when recruiters reach out

Hi there,

We’ve all been there. You open LinkedIn and see a DM from a recruiter at your dream company. Your heart races, but this is exactly where strategy matters. Instead of rushing, we first pause, stay calm, and carefully read the message to understand the recruiter’s intent.

Next, we do our homework. We research the recruiter’s background, the company’s updates, and whether the role aligns with our skills. Only then do we craft a professional yet engaging reply that shows interest and highlights value without overwhelming them.

A short, confident response works far better than a rushed “I’m interested.”

And if the recruiter invites us to chat, we treat it like a mini-interview. We prepare to share our skills, excitement about the company, and what we uniquely bring to the role.

Finally, we always follow up with a thank-you note to keep the door open. Recruiter DMs are not just messages. They are opportunities to show how we communicate, position ourselves, and seize the moment.

That’s why we built a step-by-step system to help you stand out when recruiters reach out.

With you every step of the way,
Chintan & Shreya

This is where you should be applying
Hi {{ first_name }}, Most people looking for remote jobs only check LinkedIn and Indeed and then wonder why they’re competing with 500 other applicants for every role. The truth is, the best opportunities aren’t always on the biggest platforms. There are job boards specifically built for remote work, places where companies that are genuinely committed to remote hiring post their roles. N...
If your resume doesn’t show this, you’re losing opportunities
Hi {{ first_name }}, I came across a resume recently that helped this candidate land a $300,000 role at Google. And before you think it was just because of big names like Microsoft or Amazon on it, yes, that helped. But that’s not the full story. Because I’ve seen plenty of candidates from top companies still get rejected. What made this resume stand out was simple: it communicated impact, c...
