How to read between the lines of a JD

Hi Super Community,

We’ve all dreamed of that one company: the big name, the shiny logo, the dream offer. But what if we told you that sometimes the smartest career move is to walk away from that dream job?

Recently, a friend of ours got an offer from a top-tier brand. On paper, it checked every box: great pay, great team, great location. But when we looked closer, the job description was packed with warning signs: “operate with minimal guidance,” “flexible with shifting priorities,” “fast-paced environment.” These aren’t expectations. They’re red flags for chaos.

When roles are vague, success becomes undefined. You end up firefighting instead of growing. That’s why we always remind our clients read between the lines before you sign the line.

Curious to see what success looks like?

He decided to wait. Two weeks later, he landed another offer not from a famous brand, but from a company that offered clarity, growth, and structure. That’s what real career success looks like.

So before you say yes to your next offer, pause and ask:

  • Do I know what success looks like here?
  • Will I be supported or stretched too thin?
  • Does this role help me build the life I want?

Your dream job isn’t the logo; it’s the life inside it.

Action step: Review your current or next job description. Circle every phrase that feels unclear. Then, turn each one into a question to ask during your next interview. That clarity could save you months of frustration.

With you every step of the way,

This “Feedback” is a huge red flag

This is where you should be applying
Hi {{ first_name }}, Most people looking for remote jobs only check LinkedIn and Indeed and then wonder why they’re competing with 500 other applicants for every role. The truth is, the best opportunities aren’t always on the biggest platforms. There are job boards specifically built for remote work, places where companies that are genuinely committed to remote hiring post their roles. N...
If your resume doesn’t show this, you’re losing opportunities
Hi {{ first_name }}, I came across a resume recently that helped this candidate land a $300,000 role at Google. And before you think it was just because of big names like Microsoft or Amazon on it, yes, that helped. But that’s not the full story. Because I’ve seen plenty of candidates from top companies still get rejected. What made this resume stand out was simple: it communicated impact, c...
